Ostrich Egg Lamp

These accent lamps give the true meaning of unique. The Ostrich Egg Lampshades are masterfully hand painted by artist Nancy Phares. The scene contains 3 honeybees, numerous clusters of grapes and leaves. Furthermore, their interior's are reverse painted by Nancy to create two visual experiences in one.

These lampshades are similar to ceramic pottery in thickness and are reinforced with a special glaze. It's durability is compared to that of a glass vase. The lampshade is approx. 5 1/2" in height. The size of the lampshades has some variance, being based upon the ostrich egg size, but the diameter of the lamp is approx. 4 1/2"-5". The entire unit including the lamp stand (URL protected) is approx. 10 1/2" inches tall.

A 7-watt lamp bulb is recommended and due to the eggs properties when turned on emits a translucent glow thus creating a delightful evening ambience. The Ostrich Egg Lamp arrives with a certificate of authenticity including the artist signature, Nancy Phares the issued number and date.
