1896 Broomhandle Mauser Automatic Pistol! The Model 1896 is an impressive looking weapon that was manufactured in various forms for almost fifty years. Production ceased when the German factory was destroyed during WWII. One of the most noteworthy aspects of this weapon is that it was the first successful automatic pistol to be put into production. It was also the first firearm to successfully use the rimless cartridge. It should also be noted that Han Solo's blaster in the original Star Wars was a modified 1896 Broomhandle. The prop gun had previously been used in a 1966 Frank Sinatra movie called "The Naked Runner" and was modified for Star Wars. View Other Military Collectibles
